We are currently seeking Field Service Engineers to become part of our Bioengineering staff for electro-medical devices.

The role, in a global support team, should support Ophthalmologist Customers in providing on-site guidance and assistance.

The position should be in charge of training on system use and services, instructing users in routine system checks, safety surveys and maintenance of diagnostic and surgical ophthalmic equipment.

The ideal candidate has a Technical Education, Diploma or Degree in Electronic or Biomedical Engineering, and previous experience in installing, servicing and troubleshooting medical equipment, preferably in the ophthalmic field.

Our ideal candidate for the position will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

 

  • Degree in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering;
     
  • Computer expertise and familiarity with software and hardware troubleshooting;
     
  • Good skills  in  reading  of schematics and block diagrams;
     
  • Ability  to  solder and unsolder electronic components;
     
  • Strong customer service skills;
     
  • Fluent oral and written communication  in English language;
     
  • Good initiative, leadership and analytical capabilities;
     
  • Ability to work independently, attitude for problem solving and for a target-oriented work organization;
     
  • Excellent organization and time management skills;
     
  • Good skills in customer care;
     
  • Availability to travel worldwide;

 

Preferred qualifications for the candidate are technical competencies related to:

 

  • Previous experience in the field of medical devices;
     
  • Familiarity with the basic hand and power tools normally consistent with the field;
     
  • Experience in the operation of various electronic and mechanical test equipment (i.e., multimeters, electrical safety analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, simulators, etc.);
     
  • Familiar with network and Wi-Fi systems configuration;
     

The contract and salary terms will be determined based on the skills, competences and experience of the candidate.
